Rep. Alan Grayson Marries Candidate Seeking to Replace Him in the House

Liberal firebrand Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.), who is seeking the Democratic nomination to replace retiring Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R), married his fiancee Dena Minning over the weekend. Minning, who has changed her last name to Grayson, is running to fill the House seat her husband is vacating.

Alan Grayson's campaign spokeswoman Brook Hines confirmed the marriage to the Tampa Bay Times.

“Rep. Alan Grayson and his wife Dr. Dena Grayson had a small, private wedding ceremony Sunday evening, with friends and family in attendance to celebrate their union, in the Florida beach town where Dena grew up," Hines said.

Grayson is running against Rep. Patrick Murphy (Fla.) for the Democratic nomination for the Senate.
