Watch: Viral terrorism video kicks off Muslim holiday Ramadan

Zain, a Kuwaiti telecom company, debuted an anti-terrorism television ad on Saturday to usher in Muslim holiday — the holiest month in the Muslim calendar — Ramadan.

Since its debut, the video has hit viral status and has been viewed over 3.3 million views and counting.

The music video follows the aftermath of a terrorist bus bombing, and features victims of the staged bombing as well as victims of real-life terrorist attacks.

The beginning of the video hears a young boy saying, "I will tell God everything. That you’ve filled the cemeteries with our children and emptied our school desks. That you’ve sparked unrest and turned our streets to darkness."

In the video, Hussain Al Jassmi — a pop star from the United Arab Emirates — sings and urges Muslims to "bomb violence with mercy."

The ad was created and filmed by Kuwait's Joy Productions and features images from bombings across the region claimed by Islamic State or Al-Qaeda.

The video's "terrorist" recites Islamic proverbs, but is corrected by victims in the video, who clearly have a different interpretation of the Islamic sayings than the bomber does.
