‘They’re intolerant’: Watch people struggle to name a time conservatives acted like rioting liberals

Campus Reform reporters went to the National Mall in Washington, D.C., to ask random people to name a time when conservatives have rioted against leftists the way leftists have been rioting against conservatives on college campuses — and the recently posted results were telling.

Armed with several video examples of left-wing anti-conservative rioting, reporters asked interviewees to watch footage of some of the violence unfold and then asked them to name a time when conservatives have rioted against liberals speaking on campus.

No one on the Campus Reform video report could recall an incident when conservatives resorted to violence against leftist speech. In fact, those interviewed noted the hypocrisy of the left's unwillingness to allow free speech or to engage in tolerant behavior of other's beliefs.

"They're preaching tolerance, but they're intolerant," one man said.

"I find it kind of ironic that the liberal side claims anti-hate speech, and they're out doing things that are kind of counter-productive to their whole movement," he said.

"Most of them don't even know what they're protesting," one woman noted. "If you ask them, they don't know."

A study by the Young America's Foundation examining bias on college campuses showed that of the top 100 colleges in the United States, 45 invited left-leaning personalities to give commencement addresses, while only four conservative leaning individuals were invited to speak.

When conservative-leaning speakers do take the podium to address students, they are often interrupted or disrespected. In early May, Secretary of Education Betsy Devos was booed loudly by students and faculty at Bethune-Cookman University while she was giving an commencement address. And when Vice President Mike Pence delivered the commencement address at Notre Dame University in late May, several students protested by getting up and walking out while he was speaking.
