Early reports from Brussels are that a man was shot by police after an explosion, possibly multiple explosions, and that he was wearing an explosive belt. The altercation happened at the Brussels Central train station.

Belgian police say the situation is under control. There was an evacuation of people from the station and all trains have been stopped.
