Ann Coulter accuses Sean Hannity of 'censoring' her — then Hannity hits back with two tweet response

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter accused Fox News host Sean Hannity of "censoring" her Thursday by allegedly cutting remarks she made during a segment while taping for Hannity's Thursday night Fox News show.

"As expected, @seanhannity totally censored my answer on @realDonaldTrump's "rich man" remark (Goldman Sachs). See my column this week!" Coulter wrote on Twitter late Thursday.

Ironically, Coulter predicted prior to the taping that Hannity's producers might edit some distasteful comments about Goldman Sachs and President Donald Trump from her segment.

"I'm on @seanhannity at 10 discussing Trump's "rich man" comment & if Sean cuts ONE WORD of my attack on Goldman Sachs, it will be a scandal," she wrote in a separate tweet earlier Thursday.

Coulter's tweet and comments referred to remarks Trump made earlier this week when he said during a rally in Iowa that he's proud his cabinet is comprised of rich people because "in those particular positions I just don’t want a poor person."

Trump lauded the fact that former Goldman Sachs president Gary Cohn is his top economic adviser and director of the national economic council. The irony behind that extends to Trump attacking Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) during last year's Republican presidential primary for once taking loans with Goldman Sachs. At the time, Trump accused Cruz of being controlled by the massive bank.

But as the Right Scoop notes, when Coulter appeared on Hannity's Fox program Thursday there was no mention of Goldman Sachs and there were one or two very awkward pauses or jumps between comments from Coulter and Hannity.

But Hannity unequivocally denied editing Coulter's comments.

In a two-tweet response Friday, Hannity said Coulter's comments were edited out of the segment because of television time constraints.

"I have done more to help promote you and your books which I like over the years. No CONSPIRACY. THERE ARE TIME CONSTRAINTS ON TV," Hannity tweeted.

"Ok Ann cut the BS. You were the last guest. I was taping that night. I tried repeatedly to to get you to stay on time. U went over time," he added.
