Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton revealed in a wide-ranging interview on Sunday to CBS' Jane Pauley that she is "done" being a candidate.
During a segment on "CBS This Morning," Clinton discussed her political career, and what she has planned for the future.
When Pauley asked Clinton "Is your political career over?" Clinton had her answer locked and loaded.
"Yes," she answered. "As an active politician — it's over," she admitted.
Clinton reiterated her comments and told Pauley adamantly that she's "done with being a candidate."
While Clinton's political career may be over, she told Pauley that she is "not done with politics."
"I literally believe that our country's future is at stake," Clinton told Pauley about the state of affairs within the U.S.
About the 2016 election, Clinton admitted that she felt it was more of a reality show than anything else.
"We have a reality show that leads to the election of a president," she explained.
"He ends up in the Oval Office. He says, 'Boy, it's so much harder than I thought it would be. This is really tough. I had no idea,'" Clinton continued.
"Well, yeah, because it's not a show. It's real. It's reality for sure," she said.
