The moment staff and patrons began to pray for a crew member at a North Carolina Chick-fil-A has gone viral.

What are the details?

The event happened Aug. 31 at a Belmont, North Carolina, Chick-fil-A when one of the managers announced that a store employee was heading in for a surgery and requested to pray aloud for the woman.

In the video, a manager can be heard saying, "We have one of our team members that is starting surgery right now for breast cancer, and we'd like to say a short prayer for her."

Almost immediately, every head in the restaurant bowed, including those seated in the nearby dining area.

Customers and employees began to pray for the crew member — only identified as Ms. Trish — as she went in for the surgery.

“So if you all know her from our dining room, today is a rough day for us. We’re hoping that things will go well. If you'll bow your heads – and I’m not great at this, but I’m going to do my best,” the manager continued.

“Dear Lord, please protect Ms. Trish as she begins her surgery today. Please give the surgeon a steady hand as they perform the needed surgery on her,” the manager added. “Please keep everyone in the surgery room at their best with sharp minds and clear heads as they work on her.”

"We need [Ms. Trish] back here, she is our light. She is a pillar in the community for us,” the manager continued. “Everybody here loves her so much. Please, please just protect her and get her back here to brighten our days. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.”

How was the surgery?

According to WJZY-TV, Ms. Trish did, indeed, come through her surgery and is on the mend.

One of the patrons captured the moving moment on camera, and it ended up on social media, where it hit viral status. One of the aggregated videos was watched over 700,000 times.
