CNN anchor says she's 'most patriotic' when watching SNL criticize presidents — here's why

Alisyn Camerota says Trump is being unreasonable
CNN's Alisyn Camerota decried the criticism from President Donald Trump against "Saturday Night Live" in a scathing commentary during the cable news broadcast Monday.
"I am at my most patriotic when I watch 'Saturday Night Live,' and I've always felt this way," she declared.
"You know, high school, in college, I remember having the epiphany of, 'Wait a second we live in a country where comedians can mercilessly make fun of our president and I've felt this way for decades.'"
Camerota was referring to a tweet from Trump where he asked if the right of NBC to provide "one sided coverage" on news shows and "Saturday Night Live" should be tested in the courts.
"A REAL scandal is the one sided coverage, hour by hour, of networks like NBC & Democrat spin machines like Saturday Night Live. It is all nothing less than unfair news coverage and Dem commercials."

"Should be tested in courts, can't be legal?" he continued. "Only defame & belittle! Collusion?"
'Do not mess with our comedy!'
Camerota took issue with the threat from the president against "Saturday Night Live."
"How great is this country that we live in?" she continued.
"And I'm sorry you cannot take that away," she said, "you can take issue, President Trump, with the Fourth Amendment, as you did this weekend, or the criminal justice system, but do not mess with our comedy!"
Her co-anchor John Berman rattled off a list of famous "Saturday Night Live" comedians who impersonated and mocked past presidents, in support of Camerota's defense of the show.
Here's the video of Camerota's critique:
Camerota also noted that the president labeled the comedy show as a news show in his tweet.
