Disney's woke 'Snow White' remake stars Hispanic actress, neuters Prince Charming, and will be all but dwarf-free

Images from the new "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" remake have surfaced, revealing just how far from the 19th-century German fairy tale and classic 1937 adaptation Disney has strayed in order to satisfy woke iconoclasts.

While a spokesman for the company initially alleged the images were fake, the company has since walked back its denial.

Disney — which reportedly lost nearly $900 million on recent woke movies, even before its latest "Indiana Jones" bombed at the box office — appears to have put dwarf actors out of work, partly at the behest of actor Peter Dinklage.

TheBlaze previously reported that Dinklage denounced Disney's "f***ing backwards" plan to pay dwarf actors handsomely to star in a global blockbuster about industrious dwarfs and their heartwarming cohabitation with a "fair" Germanic beauty.

"I was a little taken aback when they [Disney] were very proud to cast a Latina actress as Snow White, but you're still telling the story of 'Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs,'" Dinklage told "WTF with Mark Maron."

"It makes no sense to me. You're progressive in one way and you're still making that f***ing backwards story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together, what the f*** are you doing, man? Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my soapbox? I guess I'm not loud enough," added the actor.

Following Dinklage's inaccurate remarks — the dwarfs lived in a idyllic cottage together in the original animated film, not a cave — a Disney spokesman said last year, "To avoid reinforcing stereotypes from the original animated film, we are taking a different approach with these seven characters and have been consulting with members of the dwarfism community."

Production photographs from Bedforshire, England, where shooting is taking place, have recently emerged showing a stand-in for the Hispanic Snow White, played in the film by Columbian actress Rachel Zegler, trailed by her not-so dwarfish companions, reported the Daily Mail.

The motley seven, consisting of men and women of various races, all appear to be of average height except for one actor, who looks the part.

Disney initially characterized the photos as fake, but has since walked back the denials.

A Disney spokesman told the Daily Beast, "The photos are fake and not from our production. We are currently trying to have the Daily Mail issue a correction."

The Daily Beast subsequently updated it article with a note that "after Disney’s U.S. spokesperson initially declared the photos published by the Daily Mail were fake, the studio later said the photos were from the production."

A Disney source also told Vanity Fair that "these are not official photos, they are from the production, with stand-ins for some cast members."

The Daily Mail, which stood by its initial report despite Disney's false claims, noted that only two "stand-in" extras were used to film additional photography.

The titular characters are not the only ones who've seen significant changes.

The Mail indicated that Greta Gerwig, the script's co-writer, has said that the film, out next March, will not feature a Prince Charming. Shunting the romantic subplot and chivalry, the film will instead "focus on a 'stronger' Snow White who dreams of becoming a leader."

This is in keeping with the lead actress' suggestion last year that this will be a politically correct "Snow White."

Zegler told Vanity Fair in October 2022, "People are making these jokes about ours being the PC Snow White, where it’s like, yeah, it is—because it needed that. It’s an 85-year-old cartoon, and our version is a refreshing story about a young woman who has a function beyond 'Someday My Prince Will Come.'"

While Disney's next potential box office bomb won't go off until next year, critics are already railing against the newly revealed changes.

Conservative commentator Matt Walsh tweeted, "It's not just 'political correctness' that prompts Hollywood to make white characters non-white. Snow White is now brown because the filmmakers view the character's whiteness as a flaw to be fixed. It's anti-white racism and should be called such."

Walsh added, "Snow White is a 19th century German fairy tale. The name literally refers to the character’s skin color. This is what actual cultural appropriation looks like. Probably the most blatant case we’ve seen yet."

Ned Ryun, the CEO of American Majority, wrote, "Honestly think the dumb dumbs making these decisions at Disney need to have their heads checked for any signs of common sense and rational thought . . . Just looking at this screams flop and disaster."

Robby Starbuck tweeted, "I’m Latino. None of us asked for this. When we saw Snow White as kids none of us thought that a story about a super white German princess would be so much better if they’d just cast a Latina to play her role. Her name is literally SNOW WHITE! Woke Disney deserves to go broke."

Piers Morgan lambasted Disney for its apparent casting decision on his show Monday, saying, "I’ve spent the last year listening to people tell me only gay actors should play gay parts only Welsh actors should play Welsh characters and so on. ... But the moment we have dwarf roles which are the most famous dwarf roles in Hollywood history then the only people apparently who can’t play them are dwarf actors."

Morgan added, "I see their stinking woke hypocrisy."
