FBI is afraid informant with info on alleged Biden bribery scandal will be murdered if unmasked, says Rep. Luna

A member of the House Oversight Committee claimed Monday that the FBI fears an informant with insights into an alleged criminal bribery scheme involving President Joe Biden "will be killed" if unmasked.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) tweeted, "Just left meeting for House Oversight. The @FBI is afraid their informant will be killed if unmasked, based on the info he has brought forward about the Biden family."

Luna noted in a subsequent tweet, "According to the @FBI, Biden as VP was involved in a 5 million dollar bribery scheme with a foreign national."

Luna made these claims after House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) and ranking member Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) glimpsed an unclassified document the FBI has worked hard to keep under wraps, which reportedly contains "valuable, verifiable information" describing an alleged $5 million "criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national relation to the exchange of money for policy decisions."

After examining the document in a secure environment, Comer announced, "Today, FBI officials confirmed that the unclassified FBI-generated record has not been disproven and is currently being used in an ongoing investigation," adding that the investigation is likely being undertaken in Biden's home state of Delaware.

Comer continued, stating, "The confidential human source who provided information about then-Vice President Biden being involved in a criminal bribery scheme is a trusted, highly-credible informant who has been used by the FBI for over 10 years and has been paid over six figures. ... These are facts and no amount of spin, and frankly lies, from the White House or congressional Democrats can change this information."

The House Oversight chair later told Fox News host Sean Hannity that the source, whom the FBI allegedly said would be endangered if exposed, is one of the bureau's "most highly credible human sources" — who had been "part of the bureau for 13 years, dating back to the Obama administration," reported the New York Post.

Comer said during his interview with Hannity, "This particular document was dated in 2020. But there are notes in the document that date back to 2017. We believe that this human source initially informed the FBI of the bribery scheme back in 2017."

According to Comer, the claims in the file comport with the Oversight Committee's earlier findings pertaining to subpoenaed bank records showing the "Bidens' foreign entanglements."

In early May, the committee revealed "thousands of pages of financial records" allegedly showing that the Biden family and their associates created a "complicated network of companies" in an attempt to conceal millions of dollars of payments from foreign businesses.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) suggested that the informant who supplied information on the alleged criminal scheme involving Biden may be "a lot more credible than Christopher Steele, the guy who created the dossier that they used to go after President Trump. I bet you this source has a lot more credibility."

The FBI's alleged claim that the informant, who could shed some additional light on this matter, would be at risk if unmasked has been met with suspicion and surprise online.

Bob Hoge of RedState suggested that this "sounds like another attempt at an excuse by Wray as to why they won’t produce the information that Comer demands."

Former Trump advisor Kash Patel appeared to agree, writing on Truth Social, "FBI is running their fictional traps, telling Congress if the source is revealed in the subpoenaed document to Chairman Comer- the source will die. we heard this same pretextual farce from the same FBI Director, Wray, when he told @DevineNunes and I while running Russia Gate- if FBI reveals Steel n co, sources will die, and nations will crumble."

Patel added, "No one died, the only thing that crumbled was the FBI for its corruption coverup."

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) responded to Luna, "Oh my."

Rogan O’Handley, a conservative commentator with Turning Point USA, responded to Luna, tweeting, "The FBI is not only confirming the bribery evidence is real, but that the Biden Crime Family may murder people trying to expose them We live in a 3rd world dictatorship."

For refusing to turn over the unclassified document to lawmakers as legally required, House Republicans will initiate contempt of Congress hearings against FBI Director Christopher Wray on Thursday.
