Hillsong Pastor Carl Lentz tests positive for COVID-19. Here are his concerning symptoms.

Virus wreaked havoc

Hillsong Church's lead pastor, Carl Lentz, has revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19.

The symptoms, according to Lentz, are "so real."

What are the details?

Lentz, based out of New York City, said that the coronavirus took him "out."

Lentz took to Instagram Monday night, where he detailed his harrowing experience with the disease.

"I started feeling so bad," he admitted. He apparently visited the doctor, because he was able to receive a test.

"I got my test," he said. "It came back positive."

Lentz said that he fought through the debilitating illness, but said that it was harder than some people might think.

"The symptoms are so real," he warned, describing the feeling that is similar to the flu — just worse.

"It's kind of like a flu times 50," he said. "[I] still don't feel like myself."

Lentz said he did all he could do to remain upright during the illness.

"I look forward to getting my energy back," he added.

What else?

At least 25,665 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in New York, according to CNN. At least 210 people have died in the state because of the deadly virus.

"I'm praying that we find something that eradicates this thing completely," Lentz concluded. "That's my hope."
