'Sugar Bear' pimp known for torture tactics pleads guilty after horrifying find in freezer: Report

A pimp in New York has reportedly admitted to murdering his prostitute girlfriend and sex trafficking eight other women.

Somorie Moses, also known as "Sugar Bear," apparently known for his "extreme violence," reportedly beat Leondra Foster, 32, to death on January 13, 2017. And then he allegedly used a knife and saw to dismember her body, according to Fox News.

Four days after the horrific event, Moses allegedly disposed of the woman's torso and limbs at a sanitation site in Bronx, New York. However, the head, hands, and feet of Foster were discovered by the authorities in a deep freezer at Moses' Brooklyn home.

Moses pleaded guilty to the charges on September 15. He was previously convicted of concealment of a corpse and criminally negligent homicide. But he was acquitted of murder charges in 2019, according to the report.

During a previous court case, Moses admitted that he chopped up Foster's body but claimed he did not murder her. However, he did say he had made a living as a pimp for two decades and that he had "smacked [Foster] around," adding that he had given her "many...black eyes."

Since Moses' trial, there have been two individuals who are apparently prepared to testify that Moses had confessed to killing Foster to them. The identity of the two individuals were not named.

"With [Friday's] guilty plea to every count in the indictment, Moses is held fully responsible for preying on women and girls, forcing them to become prostitutes, and then brutally murdering and dismembering one of his many victims," Breon Peace, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, wrote in a press release.

"While the defendant's total admission of guilty cannot undo the terrible harm he has caused, we hope it will bring a measure of closure to his victims who suffered the defendant's extreme cruelty and brutality, and to the family of Ms. Foster."

As a result, Moses now faces 15 years to life in prison.

The report mentioned that since at least 2003, Moses pressured his victims to get his name tattooed on their bodies, "forc[ing] women and girls, including minors, into prostitution for his benefit using violence, threats of violence and psychological manipulation," prosecutors said.

"Moses used false premises of love and marriage to initiate sexual relationships with his victims before demanding they work as prostitutes and turn over the money they earned to him," according to a press release.

Moses allegedly tortured a victim with a taser after she made known that she wanted to get out of prostitution. A second woman was reportedly cut on the arms and back, and then beaten with a belt before Moses doused her in lemon juice. She was left with permanent scarring, per the report.

A third woman was beaten with an extension cord, according to court documents. Moses threatened to rub salt on her wounds. And a fourth woman apparently had a shotgun put in her mouth by Moses after she made known she did not want to do prostitute work anymore. He threatened to kill her and her child.

The release states that "Assistant United States Attorneys Jonathan Siegel and Tanya Hajjar are in charge of the prosecution, with assistance from paralegal specialist Anna November."
