WATCH: Trump supporter interrupts live taping of 'Real Time with Bill Maher' to defend President Trump

'I see you brought a guest...'

The live taping of HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher" was interrupted Friday by a supporter of President Donald Trump.

During a tense discussion with conservative commentator Buck Sexton on Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas) withdrawing his nomination for director of national intelligence, in which the crowd booed Sexton for defending the president, the Trump supporter launched into an outburst.

"Instead of trashing our great president, our great country—" the protester said before the crowd erupted against him.

Sexton responded, "I do not know him, by the way."

"I see you brought a guest," Maher quipped to Sexton.

"This is not the first time I've had to go into the audience but we've got to get faster moving security people, I'm telling you," Maher added. "I know you're going to make America great again. You've made your point — I don't know what it was, but you've made your point. And I think your point was that you like Trump, and there are a lot of people who like Trump."

As security escorted the man out of the studio, Maher said: "Just make sure he doesn't have a gun."
