Cosmopolitan, better known for reports on lipstick shades and “57 ways to drive him wild,” has come up with a list of seven women they think might be the first female president. It is notably missing key conservatives like United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, Carly Fiorina, or even Ivanka Trump. Former candidate Hillary Clinton didn't even make the cut.
Mike Opelka said there are many women, brilliant, strong, and vital enough for that job on today's "Pure Opelka." Of the seven listed, he was most impressed with Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.), a veteran. She lost both legs in Iraq when her helicopter was shot down. Her father is a Marine corps vet with an ancestor who fought in the American Revolution.
Among the other six listed was brand new California Senator Kamala Harris, who for telegenics alone might interest the Democratic National Committee, party stalwart Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Senator Kirsten Gillebrand (D-NY), Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), and, inexplicably, Oprah Winfrey.
Mike didn't think Oprah would run because she'd have to start answering difficult questions, such as where's Steadman, her long term partner?
