Florida town kicks out food truck trying to feed hurricane survivors

Big government that stops barbecue is going too far.

The Triple J's BBQ food truck was in a Florida town because owner Jack Roundtree wanted to hand out free food to people while power was being fixed. The police quickly put an end to his kind deed, saying Roundtree didn’t have a permit to operate in Green Cove Springs.

Mayor Mitch Timberlake said the food trucker owner had a “responsibility” to get the proper permit from the city … even when half the town was without power, city hall was closed and people had few options for food.

Keith Malinak shared the latest example of over-protective government on Tuesday’s “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson.”
