Peek behind the scenes at the creation of some of the most famous rock songs in history
December 01, 2016
Marc Myers, author of Anatomy of a Song, stops by The Morning Blaze to share highlights from the many interviews he conducted with music legends while writing his book. Doc Thompson steers the conversation toward some of his favorite artists, including the Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd.
"And then 'Another Brick in the Wall,' man, I mean that's an anthem for people, right?" Doc asks.
Marc agrees: "Yeah, and it's interesting, as Roger Waters and I were talking about that, he was very insistent that that has nothing to do with anti-education, that it was his own miserable childhood education experience. ... So that song is really a statement of rebellion against his own childhood's education."
Listen live to The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson weekdays 6–9am ET, only on TheBlaze Radio Network.
