Poll: Urban Christians are more willing than rural Christians to compromise to spare feelings
May 15, 2017
On Saturday's "Mike Slater Show," Mike Slater reviewed a Barna poll of practicing Christians that revealed the difference between the beliefs of city and rural Christians. Barna has been collecting data on faith and culture for over 30 years.
Mike focused on this poll item: "If your belief offends or hurts someone's feelings, then your belief is wrong." Thirty percent of city Christians agreed with that statement, but only five percent of rural did.
Mike stated, "your feelings are irrelevant to the truth," and lamented the subjectivity with which our entire culture treats all issues today, including the intimate and time-tested tenets of faith.
