Salcedo: ‘I don’t see any evidence that the Republican party is worthy of support’ – here’s why
July 28, 2017
Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) was in Washington D.C. last night despite battling serious health concerns in order to vote no on the “skinny repeal” of the Affordable Care Act. The attempt failed in the Senate Thursday night.
McCain said he could not approve the plan because “it offered no replacement to actually reform our health care system and deliver affordable, quality health care to our citizens.”
Chris Salcedo reported on Friday’s “Chris Salcedo Show” that there were audible gasps in the Senate chamber when McCain submitted his vote.
Chris said, “I don’t think the Republican party is the place for the conservative movement anymore,” citing former speaker of the House John Boehner’s prediction that the GOP would never repeal Obamacare. He feels the majority of the party no longer supports smaller government, “and for all intents and purposes are Democrats.”
