Press Secretary Sean Spicer will step back from the public eye but continue managing the White House press and communications office, according to White House officials.
Spicer has come under fire many times as a representation of chaos in the administration, and multiple rumors that he will be fired have surfaced in the first several months of the Trump White House.
"We have sought input from many people as we look to expand our communications operation. As he did in the beginning, Sean Spicer is managing both the communications and press office," White House officials said in a statement Monday, as reported by U.S. News & World Report.
On Tuesday’s “Pat & Stu,” Pat Gray and Stu Burguiere debated who will step into Spicer’s shoes at the press secretary podium: Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Kimberly Guilfoyle of “Fox & Friends” or someone else.
“Am I the only one who thinks Spicer’s better than [Sarah Huckabee Sanders]?” Stu asked. While Spicer isn’t a strong press secretary, he’s still the best one in a poor lineup, Stu asserted.
“In a turtle race, he does win,” Pat admitted.
The guys were not surprised that Spicer is being removed as the face of the White House.
Pat was blunt: “He sucks and they know it.”
