Mark Levin SHATTERS Dems attempt to 'whitewash' SCOTUS nominee's record

United States Sen. Dick Durbin is chairman of the committee tasked with holding the confirmation hearing of Supreme Court Justice nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson.

BlazeTV host Mark Levin of "LevinTV" reviews highlights and provides context for a better understanding of Jackson's history as a Criminal Defense lawyer. Mark details a high-profile case in which Judge Jackson defended several terrorists who struck on 9/11. He explains it was odd for Jackson to represent clients in this case because, typically, terrorists face trial under the military court system, not in criminal court.

"Terrorists are supposed to be tried under the processes of war, in our military, and under our Habeas Corpus tradition, " Mark says. "You don't have a right to a lawyer under Habeas Corpus." This is important because, according to Mark, Judge Brown was an "enthusiastic representative" of the 9/11 attackers.

Mark moves on to his second concern after watching Judge Jackson "split hairs" over the length of time convicts would be sentenced to serve for looking at child pornography vs. making child pornography.

"But the law doesn't distinguish between the two, " Mark adds. "And for a good reason."

Later, during the confirmation hearing, Chairman Durbin argued that Judge Jackson is "faithful to the law.." Mark disagrees, saying that Durbin is trying to "whitewash" Judge Jackson's record.

In this clip, Democratic Senators: Patrick Leahy, Dianne Feinstein, Sheldon Whitehouse, and Mazie Hirono echoed Durbin's support for Judge Jackson's confirmation. While Republican senators: Lindsey Graham, Josh Hawley, and Ted Cruz pointed to how different Judge Jackson's experience had been compared to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono attempted to say Judge Jackson's nomination is "not about a quota."

"How can you say that is not about filling a quota when they wanted to send a message to black females across the country," Mark reminds us. It's not that they want women or minorities on the Supreme Court; they want leftists on the Supreme Court, and they want as little pushback as possible. Watch the clip to see the highlights.
