Apple’s latest iPhone will let you unlock it using your face. Does that make it worth the $1,000 price tag?
Skipping past an iPhone 9 altogether, Apple on Tuesday unveiled the all-glass iPhone X, a premium device that gives you the option to unlock with facial recognition.
Glenn Beck pointed out the irony of people who use their pricey iPhones to complain about capitalism and “income inequality” on Wednesday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program.”
“Facial recognition: spooky? You bet,” he said of the new feature.
But what the iPhone reveals about us is perhaps even scarier. “How many people crying poverty and oppression will be carrying the new iPhone 10?” he asked, pointing out the iPhone is a luxury device that Americans use, while the rest of the world relies heavily on less expensive phones that run on Android software.
On Tuesday, Apple additionally unveiled:
- The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus
- An Apple TV
- New smartwatches
