GOP nominee Ron DeSantis said 'monkey this up' and the left went berserk. You already know why.

During an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, Florida gubernatorial candidate Rep. Ron DeSantis made the unforgivable mistake of using of the phrase "monkey this up" to describe the damage his Democratic opponent's "socialist agenda" might do, including "bankrupting the state."

To put things into context, DeSantis said his opponent, Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum (D), is an "articulate spokesman for those far left views" and a "charismatic candidate."

Then, speaking about Gillum's policies, he said: "The last thing we need to do is to monkey this up by trying to embrace a socialist agenda with huge tax increases and bankrupting the state. That is not gonna work. That is not going to be good for Florida."

The left immediately went berserk, claiming DeSantis' use of the word "monkey" in reference to Gillum, who is black, was a "racial dog whistle."

Filling in for Glenn Beck on Thursday’s episode of “The Glenn Beck Radio Program,” Pat Gray, Stu Burguiere, and Jeffy Fisher agreed that the subject of DeSantis' controversial comment was clearly NOT Gillum. Rather, it was the "socialist agenda with huge tax increases and bankrupting the state."
