Fox News host Sean Hannity completely lambasted CNN's White House correspondent Jim Acosta after Acosta moped over the "sad scene" he faced at a Trump rally in Tampa, Florida, earlier this week.
Acosta was taken aback by a crowd chanting "CNN sucks! CNN sucks!" and took to social media to scold his fellow Americans.
Just a sample of the sad scene we faced at the Trump rally in Tampa. I’m very worried that the hostility whipped up… https://t.co/GK0mnmKWR3— Jim Acosta (@Jim Acosta) 1533087165.0
Some members of the media defended Acosta and CNN including the president's daughter, Ivanka Trump, who lamented that the media is not the people's enemy.
What prompted Hannity's scathing monologue was Acosta's accusation that Hannity is a "propagandist for profit, peddling lies every night."
Hannity didn't take kindly to that and responded to Acosta in a scathing monologue but later wed to protect members in the media if they were to come under physical attack.
"Jimmy @Acosta sorry your precious feelings are hurt & that people see through your lying bulls**t for what it is. FAKE NEWS. #CNNSUCKS," Hannity tweeted.
