Security analyst: The anonymous sources who leaked committed serious crimes
May 17, 2017
The White House is once again on day two of defense after another bombshell allegation that President Donald Trump pressured former FBI director James Comey to stop investigating ousted national security adviser Michael Flynn.
Today ranking members of the Senate Intelligence Committee sent a letter to Comey asking him to testify in both open and closed door settings.
Former Central Intelligence Agency analyst and Senior Vice President for the Center for Security Policy’s Fred Fleitz joined Dana Loesch on "Dana" to discuss the only proven illegality in all of this: the the leaks that unmasked Michael Flynn's name.
He reiterated a point many have made that the President can't "leak" information because "he has ultimate classification authority." However the Washington Post had been given information so sensitive they could not post it; those who shared that info have committed a very serious crime.
Merely talking about it to the press is a violation of security policy. Fleitz said whomever is responsible needs "to go to jail."
