During President Trump's visit to China this week, he delivered a very honest backhanded compliment when discussing the country's rise success.
It's no secret the president isn't very fond of China and often blames the country for the lack of American jobs and economic decline. So, while he was at a press conference with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, he told it like it is and spared the social graces.
Here's what the president said:
"Both the United States and China will have a more prosperous future if we can achieve a level economic playing field. Right now, unfortunately, it is a very one-sided and unfair one. But ... but, I don't blame China. Afterall, who can blame a country being able to take advantage of another country for the benefit of its citizens? I give China great credit."
