Watch: Researchers created artificial muscles to make ‘robot bodies’ incredibly strong

Nervous about artificial intelligence? If you’re not worried yet, this study might change your mind.

Columbia Engineering researchers have developed a “3D-printable synthetic soft muscle” that would theoretically give robots artificial muscles that let them lift 1,000 times their own weight.

“We’ve been making great strides toward making robots minds, but robot bodies are still primitive,” the lead researcher explained. “We’ve overcome one of the final barriers to making lifelike robots.”

Keith shared this alarming story during Wednesday's headlines. Good news: At least it's also National Vodka Day.
