Sara Gonzales is here to break down the truth about President Donald Trump's proposal to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.

President Trump has been rock solid on the economy so far. Unemployment is down and the stock market is up, but then there is this tariff proposal.

A tariff is a tax on specific goods and services coming into the country. The idea behind a tariff for certain foreign goods is to incentivize U.S. companies to use American goods.

“That sounds like a good idea, but think about it," said Sara. "Companies are getting their goods overseas because it's simply cheaper. If companies are given the choice between paying the tariff or being forced to buy the more expensive American version -- do you think they're just going to eat that cost?"
