Democratic congressman vows to fight 'any unconstitutional crazy s**t' from President Trump
November 14, 2016
Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) tweeted late Sunday evening that he will become a monthly donor to the American Civil Liberties Union in order to combat “any unconstitutional crazy s**t” from President-elect Donald Trump once he is in office.
Lieu previously criticized the idea that Trump won the election due to racism and said that his own party needs to address the economic concerns of Americans.
Lieu took aim at members of both parties whom he said have “enabled” the surveillance state prior to Trump, an “authoritarian,” taking over the White House.
When a Twitter user objected to Lieu's language, he characterized his remarks as “free speech.”
