Election season is almost here – are Republicans out of time to keep their promises?

Republicans vowed to root out corruption in Washington and make government work better for the American people, but they haven’t even managed to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

How will Republicans explain their broken promises to voters in time for the 2018 midterms? Doc Thompson and Kal Elsebai talked about everything that’s wrong with Washington as the next election season looms on Tuesday’s “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson.”

Republicans are flailing, but Democrats don’t have much to offer either.

“A whole lot of nothing,” Kal said.

“Where are the solutions?” Doc asked, wondering what the world will look like for the next generation. “Even if they’re not doing anything to actively now hurt us with new legislation, the things that have already been put in place that are heading the wrong direction are going to hurt us more and more and more,” he said of lawmakers.

The next generation of college graduates will have their work cut out for them – can private industry make up for government failure and find solutions for education, health care and other issues?

“It’s going to have to be people graduating right now that via the businesses they create, challenge Washington, D.C. on how they do things,” Doc asserted.
