Jogger attacked by dog and then bitten by OWNER in Bay Area

A jogger in Castro Valley, California, was attacked by a dog during her morning run on Thursday, the Los Angeles Times reported. The woman used pepper spray to defend herself, but it was the dog's owner who eventually left bite marks on the runner.

After the unnamed victim escaped the animal, she crossed paths with the dog's owner — who tackled, punched, and bit the jogger on her forearm, leaving nasty wounds. East Bay Regional Park District police released an image of the bite marks to the victim's arm.

The aggravated assault occurred around 10:25 a.m. Police are searching for the suspect, who is described as a "mixed race" (white and Asian) female.
