Rep. Goodlatte: Lisa Page ‘finally’ to testify before House Judiciary Committee
July 12, 2018
Ex-FBI attorney Lisa Page has agreed to testify before the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees this week, The Hill reported Thursday.
“Lisa Page has finally agreed to appear before the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees for a transcribed interview tomorrow," Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., said in a statement. Goodlatte called the hearing “long overdue.”
Page will testify in a closed-door inquiry a day after FBI official Peter Strzok’s open testimony before the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees on Thursday. Strzok and Page were both identified as having sent multiple texts on government phones revealing anti-Trump bias in the Inspector General’s report released in June.
Page will appear for the interview on Friday at 1:30 p.m.
