Trump accused of ‘verbal sexual assault’ against a US senator

President Donald Trump is being accused of “slut-shaming” and committing “verbal sexual assault” against one of several U.S. senators calling for his resignation.

On Monday, New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, D, blasted the president after Trump claimed that Gillibrand used to beg him for campaign contributions before she was “in the ring fighting against Trump.”

Gillibrand said she would not be silenced.

Sen. Gillibrand is one of several Democrats calling on President Trump to resign from office after a group of women came forward to claim that the president sexually harassed them. On Monday, Megyn Kelly interviewed three of Trump’s accusers on “Megyn Kelly Today.”

“President Trump has committed assault, according to these women, and those are very credible allegations of misconduct and criminal activity, and he should be fully investigated and he should resign,” Gillibrand told CNN.

“These allegations are credible; they are numerous,” she added. “I’ve heard these women’s testimony, and many of them are heartbreaking.”

Many believe Trump’s Tuesday tweet firing back at Gillibrand, noting how she “would do anything” for campaign contributions, is sexually suggestive.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., accused the president of “slut-shaming” Gillibrand.

MSNBC contributor Scott Dworkin said the president’s tweet was “a form of verbal sexual assault” and demanded that Trump resign.

Another tweet, another controversy. Hey, how’s tax reform coming?
