Whose interests are REALLY antithetical to America’s?

Conservative Review

With the usual short-sightedness and lack of curiosity that now pervades typical American newsrooms, the focus on how to get Trump using the Jamal Khashoggi fallout has seized upon the notion that now Trump must have some personal dealings with the murderous Saudi regime — dealings that the new Democrat House must investigate. Just the other day, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., sprinted right past Russia and claimed that it’s the Saudis that are influencing and destroying our democracy.

In an interview with the detestable Greg Sargent at the Washington Post, “Schiff said that Democrats will also delve into Trump’s international financial entanglements — on the Saudi matter and others — though he said which committees will look at what remains to be determined.”

“There are a whole set of potential financial conflicts of interest and emoluments problems that Congress will need to get to the bottom of,” Schiff said. “Certainly if foreign investment in the Trump businesses is guiding U.S. policy in a way that’s antithetical to the country’s interests, we need to find out about it.”

Antithetical to the country’s interests, mind you.

Remembering the past, I did a few quick searches to refresh all of our memories on Hillary Clinton’s and Barack Obama’s work with the Saudis, which I’m sure must in fact prove that their dealings are entirely, you know, “thetical” to the country’s interests.

April 2009, UK Telegraph: “Barack Obama criticised for 'bowing' to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia.”

The Washington Times called the alleged bow a "shocking display of fealty to a foreign potentate", which ran contrary to American tradition of not deferring to royalty.

"By bending over to show greater respect to Islam, the US president belittled the power and independence of the United States," the paper said in an editorial. "Such an act is a traditional obeisance befitting a king's subjects, not his peer."

June 2010, to Politico, a senior Obama administration official described the relationship between Obama and the Saudi king: “It's a ‘close, warm, personal friendship’ that's on ‘very solid footing right now.’"

November 2013, The Guardian reported, “Saudi Arabia irritated by the changing US relationship with Iran.”

Obama, said a respected liberal writer, ‘is selling us cheaply’. A well-connected Saudi analyst spoke of the US using allies ‘like prostitutes’ and then dumping them.

Oh my, something went sour. What could it have been? More from The Guardian:

The big picture is that the Saudis have spent the last three years defending the status quo against the turmoil of the Arab spring. King Abdullah was horrified when Obama (belatedly) dropped Hosni Mubarak and embraced the Muslim Brotherhood until Mohamed Morsi was overthrown by the Egyptian military.

Oh, I remember now. Obama “embraced” the Muslim Brotherhood. So did Jamal Khashoggi, but that’s not pertinent information, because the media and the Democrats are lining up another witch hunt.

But Obama needed to travel again and again to Saudi Arabia because of his deal-making with Iran, which calls us the Great Satan.

February 2014, the BBC wrote, “Barack Obama to visit Saudi Arabia to strengthen ties.”

The visit comes as the US tries to mend ties with its ally over Riyadh's dissatisfaction with Mr Obama's Middle East policies, especially on Syria.

Senior Saudi officials are also sceptical about the current round of US-backed nuclear talks with Iran.

In March 2014, The Guardian noted:

The Saudi royal family has been alarmed by Washington’s move toward a rapprochement with Iran as it seeks an agreement to limit Tehran’s nuclear program. The Saudis were also angered by Obama’s decision to hold back from using military force against Syria – another regional adversary – over its use of chemical weapons.

But let’s not focus only on Obama and his Muslim Brotherhood ties and his Iran nuke deal; we’re forgetting the woman. Hillary Clinton, the woman who twice tried to break that damned glass ceiling and got thrown to the curb and into the SUV — by Democrats!

May 2015, IBT: “Clinton Foundation Donors Got Weapons Deals From Hillary Clinton's State Department.”

A consortium of American defense contractors led by Boeing would deliver $29 billion worth of advanced fighter jets to the United States' oil-rich ally in the Middle East. … [I]n late 2011, Hillary Clinton’s State Department was formally clearing the sale, asserting that it was in the national interest. … An assistant secretary of state … declared that the deal had been "a top priority" for Clinton personally.

August 2016, New York Times: “Foundation Ties Bedevil Hillary Clinton’s Presidential Campaign.”

For years the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation thrived largely on the generosity of foreign donors. …

Saudi Arabia has been a particularly generous benefactor. The kingdom gave between $10 million and $25 million to the Clinton Foundation. … At least $1 million more was donated by Friends of Saudi Arabia, which was co-founded by a Saudi prince.

The Obama administration and Hillary Clinton used our ally, Saudi Arabia, as much as they could for personal and anti-American strategic manipulation, then undermined our relationship with the kingdom to appease and treat our enemy Iran as an ally, and left the world in a terrible spot. Almost nothing the Obama administration did was “thetical” to our nation’s interests. Schiff’s and the media’s Khashoggi defense, while ignoring what happened in the past ten years as a result of the horrendous Obama regime and the fact that Saudi Arabia keeps Iran in check, clearly shows who has interests “antithetical” to our nation’s: the media, the Obama administration, and the “Death to America” policies of the modern Democrat Party.
