Every presidential candidate has their own brand of supporters, and Sen. Bernie Sanders is no exception.
From the diehard to the content-to-follow, each fan of Sanders has their own reasoning for why they vote for Bernie.
I had the opportunity to interview many of these fans at a Bernie Sanders Rally in Salt Lake City, Utah this past weekend. It was definitely an experience I will never forget, with the raucous crowd of enthusiastic supporters.
Many answered that they felt Bernie was someone who listened to them, while others cited climate change or their desire to bring down the 1 percent as their main concern. Others seemed excited to vote for Bernie until I asked them why, or asked them to give specifics as to what they thought Bernie Sanders would bring to the table.
Chants such as "Hey Hey! Ho Ho! The 1 percent has got to go!" and "Break up the banks!" could be heard thundering down Main Street. Signs such as "No Democracy Without Socialism" and "Feel The Bern!" were boasted along the crowd.
Redistribution of wealth was a major theme of the day, with the top 1 percent as the topic.
One man even quoted Thomas Paine as an example of why he is a Democratic Socialist.
Donald Trump was the main victim of verbal attacks that day, Hilary Clinton coming in a close second. One women even suggested that Hilary might be a better Republican than Democrat. I'm not sure Hilary, or any Republican for that matter, would agree with that.
Watch the interviews and decide for yourself if you are you "Feeling The Bern?"
