President Donald Trump asked Congress on Wednesday to allocate $4.5 billion in emergency funding to address the overwhelming influx of migrants attempting to cross the southern border into the United States.
Although the request asked for funds to provide housing, food, and medical care for unaccompanied children and migrants in custody, and does not include funding for a border wall, it is still not expected to pass the Democrat-controlled House.
"We need to get a handle on the border and quick before we lose the country," said Jon Miller, host of "The White House Brief" on Wednesday. "There are things that Trump can do to stop it, tomorrow, and he doesn't need Congress to do it. If Trump wants to stop illegal mass migration, here's where he can start."
Jon discusses 10 ways to fix the border crisis, as detailed by senior editor of Conservative Review, Daniel Horowitz, in his article "Deter, defend, demagnetize: 10 ideas for Trump to stop the illegal mass migration."
