Homeowners Association Orders Cop to Remove ‘God Bless America’ Sign

Palm Beach Post: "We're at war. I'm not taking it down just yet. We say we are a free country, and this is what we're about?"

On Saturday, the Palm Beach Post reported that the assistant police chief in Delray Beach, Joe Milenkovic, was ordered by his homeowners association to remove the "God Bless America" sign magnetically attached to his garage door.

The HOA is pointing to its rules that state that "no signs shall be displayed without written approval by the Association."

Mr. Milenkovic is fighting back.

He tells the Palm Beach Post, "I'm a compliant person; I'm a rule-oriented person. But sometimes you have to say, 'this is a rule that makes no sense.' Somebody's got to stand up and say this isn't right. We're giving away our wonderful country one day at a time."

On Monday morning, Mr. Milenkovic appeared on 'Fox and Friends' to discuss the controversy.
