Who are these "ridiculous" people and what are their messages?

In a slide show entitled "Glenn Beck's Restoring Honor Rally: The Most Ridiculous Messages," the Huffington Post poked fun at rally attendees' outfits. So who are these "ridiculous" people and what are their messages? The pictures include a man holding a flag and saluting, an elderly woman with a flag scarf singing and holding her hand over her heart, and another man with a picture of Thomas Jefferson poking out of his chest pocket.

UPDATE: Since the original posting of this story, Huffington Post has removed some of the pictures, including the man with the Jefferson picture and the elderly woman with her hand over her heart.
