Detroit's Sad State of Affairs

Despite Mayor Dave Bing's attempts to improve conditions in a declining Detroit, things have reached an entirely new level of depressing. Detroit ABC affiliate WXYZ reports that one of the mayor's own security SUVs was stolen and left abandoned after it was stripped for parts.

This isn't the first instance of high-profile cars being targeted for their expensive hardware. Just two days earlier, a 2009 Cadillac Escalade being used to shuttle Rev. Jesse Jackson around town was also stolen and found missing its glitzy rims.
