Pop star (and budding butcher/fashionista) Lady Gaga has been exchanging messages on Twitter with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, encouraging the Democrat to schedule a Senate vote to repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell. Reid "tweeted" back: "There is a vote on #DADT next week. Anyone qualified to serve this country should be allowed to do so," with this link to his campaign website.
Gaga tweeted back her thanks and Reid replied that repealing DADT is "the right thing to do" and invited the performer to return to Las Vegas soon.
