Another Bizarre Sesame Street Guest Star: Colin Farrell?

"We did a scene with a couple of talking carrots and s**t."

In what's shaping up to be quite an interesting season of characters, Irish actor Colin Farrell is the latest Hollywood personality to drop in for a guest spot on Sesame Street.  Recently, the children's television favorite pulled a risqué appearance by scantily-clad pop star Katy Perry.  Now, the Daily Mail is reporting that Farrell will appear on an upcoming episode.

Farrell is an interesting choice for the kid's program, especially considering that he hasn't made a single film in the last decade which the tots who watch Sesame Street could legally view without their parents.  In Hollywood, Farrell is widely known for his acting skills, but also for his rebellious hell-raiser attitude, colorful language and heavy drinking.

Farrell has two sons - seven-year-old James with former girlfriend, US model Kim Bordenave and one-year-old Henry from his relationship with current partner, his Ondine co-star Alicja Bachleda-Curus.

In December 2005, Farrell voluntarily checked into a rehabilitation treatment centre for addictions to recreational drugs and painkillers.

In addition, let's hope the kiddies don't Google Farrell to discover he's also battled in court with a former lover over the public distribution of a sex tape.

Farrell has said filming the guest spot was one of the high-points of his career.

"I did a scene with Elmo and a couple of the other characters," he says.

"The word of the day was 'investigation.' We did a scene with a couple of talking carrots," he explained, before adding, "and s**t. It was genius!"

Closing question: Why can't Sesame Street seem to come up with a wholesome and decent Hollywood role model for kids?  Are there any left?  Let us know what you think.
