George Clooney: Defender of the Right?

During a guest spot on Bill Maher's "Real Time" show last week, actor George Clooney put the HBO host in his place, exposing Maher's blind disdain for everything conservative.  Maher goes into his usual ignorant shtick about how evil conservatives are.  Not so fast, says Clooney:

I'll admit I was surprised to see one of Hollywood's most famous liberals stick up for conservatives, despite Tinseltown's abhorrence for the Right. As a return gesture of bipartisan good will, I hereby officially forgive Clooney for being a willing participant in this monstrosity.
