Illinois has become the newest sanctuary state, not for illegal immigrants, but for Democrats looking for deep cover in avoiding the Democratic process in Indiana and Wisconsin. The city of Rockford is hoping to capitalize on its sudden influx of visitors with a cheeky new tourism ad:
It's unclear whether an entire caucus booking hotel rooms is able to get a decent group rate, but if Dems play their cards right, Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel can announce a new economic development cottage industry for Chicago to house wayward Democrats from across the Midwest.
