When news broke this weekend that Donald Trump hasn't voted in a primary election in over two decades, many raised their eyebrows. How can someone who may soon stake their political dreams on a presidential primary call on voters to head to the polls when he won't even do it himself?
On Monday, he addressed the critics pointing out his primary voting record (or lack thereof) by issuing a curious response: It's pointless because I live in a liberal state, and I travel a lot.
That may seem like a simplified version of his answer -- and it is. But in the end, it's not inaccurate. You can listen to his response below (at about 2:00 minutes). And as you do, also notice how Trump is open to criticizing oil companies for making profits as gas prices rise, which raises the question: How conservative is Donald Trump?
Do as I say, not as I do.
