Rep. Paul Ryan has been in the news a lot lately and is enjoying widespread support among some of the heaviest hitters in the Republican Party, but the Wisconsin congressman has decided that a run for Senate isn't part of his plan for the near future. How refreshing -- a politician who's not looking to make a career out of public service.
Ryan explained his decision not to run to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
"What matters to me is not the title. It's my ability to impact policy. It would take me, you know, 12 to 16 years in the Senate to get where I am in the House. I don't want to be in Congress for the rest of my life."
