Video: Backyard science experiment goes horribly wrong

For those who don't know, mixing Mentos and Diet Coke sets off a fantastic chemical reaction that sends fizzy cola shooting up into the air as carbon dioxide gas is quickly released from the bottle. But when you add the the candy to cola and cap the bottle, released gases build pressure in the container and when thrown to the ground, launch the soda concoction like a rocket... as these budding scientists found out the hard way:
