Chicago: Father Wrestles Child Molester to Save 2-Year-Old Son

The father had "as much strength as he needed" to fight the abductor.

One shudders to think what would happen if you had to wrestle someone -- a registered sex-offender -- who was trying to kidnap your two year old child. That's the case for father Armando Uvalle, who fought off convicted child molester Tyrone Hill in the middle of a busy Chicago beach.

The Daily Mail reports:

'The father had to fight to get the child out of his hands I think the father, like most fathers, had as much strength as he needed at the time.'

Hill was charged with one count of attempted aggravated kidnapping of a child under 13 and one count of unlawful restraint.

In 1997 he was convicted of two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault of a child. His victims were seven-years-old and he served seven years of a 12 year sentence.

In 2010, he was convicted of failure to register as a sex offender, and was on probation for this when he was arrested on Saturday.

Cook County Court Judge Maria Kuriakos-Ciesil denied bond for Hill.

Below is a video of the Uvalles discussing the incident:
