A lightning strike sent New Jersey State Senate President Stephen Sweeney scrambling on live TV Thursday when it hit 20 feet from where he was being interviewed.
Sweeney was talking about Gov. Chris Christie's line-item veto of the state budget and ducked off camera when the crack sounded, NJ.com reported. He composed himself and continued the interview.
Local Fox reporter Bruce Gordon, speaking to Sweeney from the studio, appeared equally startled.
