Jon Huntsman's campaign manager jumps ship

As a former Utah governor, Jon Huntsman boasts some public servant street cred.  However, his association with the Obama administration, moderate policy positions and lack of name recognition have all contributed to his campaign's slow start.  Today's news that his campaign manager is jumping ship will undoubtedly only continue to complicate things for the GOP presidential hopeful.

Politico reports:

Jon Huntsman’s campaign manager resigned after less than two months in the clearest sign yet that the former Utah governor is retooling after a rocky start.

Susie Wiles, who signed on with the pro-Huntsman Horizon PAC shortly after running Florida Gov. Rick Scott’s campaign, left the Huntsman team Thursday. She will be replaced by current communications director Matt David. ...

“This has to do with long-standing plans by Susie and entering a more aggressive phase,” top strategist John Weaver told POLITICO in an email.
