Lending your big name to help President Obama win reelection is quite fashionable among celebrities, especially if your name is Anna Wintour. The editor in chief of Vogue magazine is scheduled to attend a dinner/fundraiser for Obama next Thursday in New York City. Wintour hosted a similar affair for Obama last year in which she invited top designers such as Calvin Klein and Diane von Furstenberg.
Famed movie producer Harvey Weinstein is hosting the event this time around. Other big names attending are actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Coldplay's Chris Martin, singer Alicia Keys and film producer Quentin Tarantino. Entry into the star-studded dinner -- which sold out -- came at a cost of $71,600 per couple, according to the New York Post. It raised over $2 million.
Adding to the list of celebs actively supporting Obama's reelection bid, last week Oprah Winfrey said she was "happy to be of service" to the campaign.
