A common trend in society today is people filming fights on mobile devices with the hope of a viral video gaining success on the internet. Often, the one recording is more concerned with capturing the video than stepping in to stop the violence.
In a video uploaded onto Youtube Saturday, you get to see both sides of the conundrum in a fight that took place at a New York City intersection where the peace-maker was already famous before the video even went viral.
Multiple sources are reporting that the individual in a blue and white stripped tank top that broke up the fight is Academy Award-nominated actor Ryan Gosling.
The fight took place on 8th Street in the East Village. Viewers have been able to confirm Gosling's identity because of "The Giving Tree" book cover tattoo on his upper left arm.
The New York Daily News writes that the actor has been spending his time upstate filming "The Place Beyond The Pines." Entertainment Weekly contacted Gosling’s publicist, who could not be reached in time for comment.
